In this vital role, you will assist skilled tradespeople in various construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage. From site preparation to finishing touches, your hands-on work will contribute directly to creating durable, safe, and aesthetically pleasing structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple construction disciplines while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Duties Assist with site preparation including clearing, leveling, and setting up construction zones in accordance with safety regulations. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as framing, formwork construction, concrete mixing, and finishing. Support concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and rebar installation to ensure structural integrity. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols. Aid in masonry work, stucco application, roofing installation, and restoration projects as needed. Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris and ensuring all tools are properly stored after use. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings is essential. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols is required. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete pumping systems. Experience with concrete forming, finishing, cutting, caulking, plastering, framing carpentry (including metal stud framing), trim carpentry, flooring installation, masonry, roofing, and restoration is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from project plans and schematics.
