Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Drain Company Laborer / Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist skilled plumbers and construction crews with various tasks related to drain and plumbing system installations, repairs, and maintenance. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to efficient project completion while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in construction, plumbing, and mechanical work to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage systems, pipes, and plumbing fixtures according to project specifications and building codes Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and other equipment safely and efficiently Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to support accurate pipe installation and system layout Support welding activities when required for pipe joining or structural components Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety protocols at all times Help with pipe cutting, fitting, threading, and assembly tasks under supervision Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of power tools Experience Prior construction site experience preferred; familiarity with plumbing or drainage systems is a plus Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques, pipe installation, and building code compliance is advantageous Basic mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Experience with welding or pipe threading is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed Strong teamwork skills with a focus on customer service and safety awareness Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and system layout Join our team to build your skills in construction plumbing while contributing to essential infrastructure projects.
