The ideal candidate will hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and will be responsible for driving and operating heavy vehicles and equipment as well as performing general labor tasks on construction sites. This role is vital to the successful completion of paving and construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job. Key Responsibilities Operate company vehicles and equipment, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy machinery as needed for construction and paving projects. Transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with loading and unloading materials at job sites, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed. Perform general labor tasks, including site preparation, cleanup, and assisting skilled tradespeople. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, hours of service, and materials transported. Assist in training and mentoring less experienced laborers and new hires as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Previous experience in construction or paving preferred but not required. Strong understanding of safety practices in a construction environment. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
