Laborer/ Finisher MJR Concrete, Inc. Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Laborer/Finisher and play a vital role in bringing high-quality projects to life! This energetic position involves assisting with the preparation, finishing, and detailing of various construction or manufacturing tasks. You will work closely with skilled craftsmen to ensure surfaces are smooth, polished, and meet exacting standards. Duties Assist with surface preparation by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and smoothing materials to ready them for finishing. Apply finishes such as paint, stain, or sealants under supervision to achieve desired aesthetic and protective qualities. Use hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively to perform finishing tasks with precision. Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring all surfaces are even, smooth, and meet project specifications. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety on site. Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to ensure consistency and excellence in every task. Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions. Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or finishing trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment used in finishing processes is advantageous.
