Excavating Laborer Job Description We are looking for an Excavating Laborer. Assists with site preparation, excavation, and construction projects by performing physical labor and supporting equipment operators. We complete a high volume of water and sewer line contracts, including many prevailing wage projects offering significantly higher pay opportunities. Prevailing wage starting at $50 an hour

Responsibilities:

Dig trenches, holes, and foundations using hand tools and equipment. Assist in grading, leveling, and preparing job sites. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment. Install and repair underground utilities such as water, sewer, and drainage lines. Follow site plans, measurements, and safety guidelines. Direct traffic and assist with maintaining a safe work zone. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas. Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50+ pounds). Basic knowledge of construction and excavation practices preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license. Experience operating construction equipment is a plus but not required. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong work ethic and reliability Transportation to and from job sites
