ABOUT THE JOB
The Residential Landscape Construction Crew Member contributes and supporting the installation of residential outdoor projects, including landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation, and related site improvements. Works under the direction of the Crew Lead and Project Manager to complete daily tasks efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. Crew Members contribute to project progress by assisting with site preparation, material handling, equipment operation, and installation activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Key Responsibilities Perform residential landscape construction tasks including demolition/removal, grading, soil prep, planting, lawns, irrigation, drainage, hardscape installation, low voltage lighting, water features, and related site improvements. Work under direction of the Crew Lead and/or Project Manager to complete assigned daily work activities. Assist with layout, measurements, and verification of installation locations as directed. Operate tools, vehicles, and construction equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, plate compactors and related landscape construction equipment. Load, unload, move, and stage materials as needed to support production. Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites. Follow project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and report deficiencies or concerns to the Crew Lead and/or Project Manager. Assist in verifying materials delivered to the site match project needs. Promote a respectful, team-oriented work environment. Model Rexius values of Reliability, Effort, and Integrity in daily actions. Ensure proper care, use, and security of company tools and equipment. Safety Follow all OSHA regulations that pertain to your job Follow safe work practices and comply with company safety policies. Report any work hazards to your Project Manager, Operations Manager or Department manager immediately. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for assigned activities. Participate in all safety protocols and procedure training that are relevant to your position. Report and document all work related job injuries and accidents on Rexius provided form. Attend and participate in annual safety training.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Construction or landscape experience is preferred but not required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Oregon Driver's License preferred but not required for all assignments
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects and tools.
Active movement throughout the day:
walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying. (Not a sedentary job.)
Vision:
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Hearing:
able to satisfactorily communicate with customers, owners, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations. Finger dexterity is needed to operate tools, equipment, and mobile devices. Primarily works outdoors on active construction jobsites in varying weather conditions. Exposure to construction site noise, dust, uneven terrain, and heavy equipment activity. Exposure to hectic, fast-paced, high activity environments. Additional or different duties may be assigned at the employer's discretion.
