To be considered for this position, please email your resume to evie.c.thomas@employ.oregon.gov We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Fence Laborer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. No prior experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation of residential and commercial fencing
- Load, unload, and transport materials to job sites
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Run equipment such as augers and concrete mixers
- Set fence posts, mix and pour concrete, and perform general labor tasks
- Drive company trucks to and from job sites (if licensed)
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite
- Follow safety guidelines and team instructions
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Perform physically demanding work outdoors in various conditions
- Must be able to lift 100+ pounds
- Dependable and punctual
- Must have reliable transportation to Sutherlin, Oregon (7:30 AM start time)
- Valid driver's license preferred, but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Pay:
- 4-day work week (32 - 40 hours)
- Paid lunch
- Starting wage: $17 - $19 per hour
- Higher starting wages available for experienced candidates
- Additional opportunities for increased pay on commercial jobs through prevailing wage (not guaranteed weekly, but significantly higher when available)
