Apply Now Aerotek is hiring General Laborer Job Description This role involves building and assembling PODs that hold inventory on a robotics floor within a fast-paced, warehouse environment. You will work as part of a team to construct metal workstations and inventory shelving units, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy workspace. The position requires frequent heavy lifting, consistent use of hand and power tools, and strict adherence to safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities Build and assemble PODs that hold inventory on the robotics floor according to specifications and production goals. Construct and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units using hand and power tools. Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment, including repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work as part of a team to complete a set number of PODs within specific timeframes in a loud and fast-paced environment. Use tools such as hammers, rivet guns, pallet jacks, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively. Read and interpret tape measurements to ensure accurate assembly and construction. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work area in compliance with company policies and procedures. Follow all safety guidelines and remain safety conscious throughout daily tasks. Stand and/or walk for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks on the production floor. Essential Skills Experience in general labor, construction, production, or carpentry. Commercial construction and assembly experience. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Experience working with various hand tools, including hammers, rivet guns, and other basic tools. Experience working with power tools in a construction or production environment. Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks that include lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in commercial construction or industrial assembly environments. Previous experience working in a warehouse or production setting. Comfort working in a loud, busy, and fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and measurements accurately. Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Work Environment This role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment that supports robotics and inventory operations. The setting is loud, fast paced, and can feel chaotic at times, with continuous activity on the floor. You will spend most of your shift standing or walking while performing repetitive tasks that involve lifting, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment. The work involves frequent use of hand and power tools, including hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks, in a production-focused setting where safety and cleanliness are prioritized. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bethlehem, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
