Job Description

Halter Construction and Excavating is seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to support field crews in both outdoor projects and residential construction and renovation work. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in craftsmanship, and are eager to grow within the construction industry. The Construction Laborer assists with all phases of hardscape installation as well as home construction, remodeling, and renovation projects. Work is completed under the direction of supervisors to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.

Operations Management Responsibilities:
Assist with residential construction and renovation tasks including: Demolition and site preparation Framing, carpentry, and basic structural work Drywall installation and finishing support Flooring, trim, and general interior/exterior work Load, unload, and transport materials using manual labor and machinery Prepare job sites, including grading, excavation, and material staging Operate basic tools and equipment such as plate compactors, saws, drills, and demolition tools Support equipment operators, carpenters, and crew leaders as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Follow instructions from supervisors and crew leaders Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures Assist with daily setup and cleanup of job sites Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
Previous construction experience Basic knowledge of construction tools and job site safety Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Willingness to work outdoors and indoors in various conditions Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Reliable transportation to job sites Valid driver's license
