In this energetic role, you will assist skilled tradespeople in building, repairing, and renovating structures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. Your hands-on work will contribute directly to creating durable, high-quality spaces that meet client specifications. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and concrete pumps to facilitate various construction tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to support accurate execution of projects. Perform concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and rebar installation to ensure structural integrity. Construct formwork, metal stud framing, and other structural components following safety protocols and specifications. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations. Support installation of finishes such as stucco, plastering, caulking, tile laying, and other surface treatments on renovation or new build projects. Experience Previous experience working on construction sites or in related roles is highly preferred. Familiarity with blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and construction estimating enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Hands-on experience with concrete work—including pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork—is a strong asset. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations ensures compliance and promotes a safe working environment. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools necessary for various tasks across different trades like carpentry or metal framing is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks reliably supports project progress.
