Job Title:
Construction Laborer Job Description The Construction Laborer plays a hands-on role in supporting commercial construction projects with a focus on concrete, asphalt, and general site work. This position suits someone who enjoys physically demanding work, thrives in a team environment, and wants to build a long-term career by growing their skills in the construction trades. Responsibilities Perform general construction labor such as lifting, carrying, cutting, measuring, and assembling construction materials. Support concrete and asphalt crews with site preparation, including forming, prep work, pouring, finishing, patching, and cleanup. Assist with site preparation by loading and unloading materials, staging work areas, and maintaining clean and organized job sites. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in accordance with company and safety guidelines. Follow blueprints, plans, and supervisor instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Assist skilled trades such as carpenters, equipment operators, and concrete finishers to complete commercial construction projects. Inspect tools, materials, and equipment for safety concerns and report any issues promptly. Work collaboratively with crew members to meet production goals, schedules, and quality standards. Adhere to all OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards at all times. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience working on new construction job sites. Experience in general construction labor, including site construction and commercial projects. Hands-on experience with concrete work, including forming, pouring, and concrete finishing. Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools on a construction site. Basic carpentry skills and familiarity with structural construction tasks. Knowledge of rebar handling and placement for concrete work. Must provide and use own basic hand tools required for daily tasks. Must have required PPE, including steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to and from project sites. Ability to follow instructions, read or interpret basic blueprints, and work under the direction of supervisors and skilled trades. Strong awareness of job site safety and commitment to following OSHA and company safety policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gratz, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
