Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Painter & Construction Site Helper, where your energy and enthusiasm will help transform spaces and bring projects to life! In this role, you will assist with a variety of painting and construction tasks on residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Your proactive attitude and willingness to learn will contribute to efficient project completion while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure smooth finishes. Assist with the application of paint, stain, or other coatings using hand tools or airless paint spraying equipment. Support skilled tradespeople with carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, framing, and drywall installation. Handle basic demolition and cleanup duties to maintain a safe and organized work site. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and assist with layout marking. Mix paints and materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure color consistency and proper coverage. Operate power tools, hand tools, scaffolding, and other equipment safely under supervision. Assist with masonry, stucco application, plastering, and concrete finishing tasks as needed. Support renovation projects by installing fixtures, caulking gaps, and performing restoration work. Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Prior experience in construction painting or maintenance person work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, or industrial painting is a plus. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, airless paint spraying, welding, or masonry enhances your candidacy. Knowledge of color theory and residential or commercial painting techniques is advantageous. Construction site experience including framing, renovation, restoration or maintenance work is highly valued. Basic math skills for measurements and mixing materials are essential.
