Job Description
Overview Meadville Area Water Authority is seeking a dedicated and skilled Utility Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the water treatment facilities, distribution system, and customer service as they relate to providing high quality, safe, dependable water service. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. Applicant must possess a minimum of: High School graduate. PA driver's license required, obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment. Background in general plumbing, pump, motor maintenance, and construction. Available for weekends and emergency after hour call outs. Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in adverse conditions. Obtain a PADEP Water Operator License within two years of employment. Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities prior to excavation. Maintain equipment in good working condition by performing routine inspections and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols. Ability to pass a criminal background check and pass drug/alcohol screening.
