A Construction Laborer plays a vital role in commercial construction projects by preparing sites, operating light machinery, and supporting skilled workers with various essential tasks. This position involves moderate physical activity and working closely within a small team, typically ranging from one to five members. The laborer ensures smooth project progress through diligent maintenance of tools, demolition, concrete work, and thorough cleanup, while traveling locally between job sites. Responsibilities Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary materials Operate light machinery and general equipment safely and efficiently Perform cleanup tasks to maintain safe and organized work areas Assist in general construction (plumbing, concrete, carpentry, etc.) Carry out demolition of small structures and materials Maintain and care for hand and power tools Lift and carry materials as required for various construction activities Support skilled tradespeople with basic construction tasks Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in construction labor Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively within small teams
