Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and reliable Hardscape Laborer to join our landscaping and construction team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands-on experience installing hardscape features and be comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This position involves physical labor, equipment operation, and teamwork to complete high-quality residential and/or commercial hardscape projects. Key Responsibilities Assist with installation of hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, driveways, fire pits, and outdoor living spaces Perform site preparation including excavation, grading, leveling, and base preparation Load, unload, and transport materials such as pavers, stone, gravel, sand, and concrete Operate hand tools and power equipment safely (cut-off saws, plate compactors, skid steers, etc.) Measure and lay out project areas according to plans and specifications Maintain clean and organized job sites Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times Work collaboratively with crew leaders and team members to complete projects on schedule Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in hardscape construction and/or general landscape labor including grading, drainage work, planting, sod installation, mulch, and site preparation Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, patios, walkways, or similar outdoor structures preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions Experience reading basic landscape or construction plans preferred Knowledge of proper installation techniques for pavers, retaining walls, drainage, and grading Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Preferred Skills Experience operating skid steer or other small machinery Understanding of drainage solutions and site grading Leadership or crew supervision experience is a plus
