Construction Assistant for Horizontal Construction

General Description Performs general labor including loading, unloading, lifting, moving, sorting and inventorying of materials. Assists in a variety of tasks and functions with manual labor tasks as needed in areas of grading, stormwater, water and sewer, concrete and flatwork, landscaping and masonry, etc. Keeps worksites clean. Works closely with and at the directions of supervisors in order to complete construction projects

• from service work to new construction.

In the performance of this function, it is the construction assistants responsibility to protect and promote MCH Builders' interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his/her duties and responsibilities. They will comply with all required safety, building code, and department requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Works independently within established procedures and associated with the specific job function.
