Labourer -
Metal Shelving Installation Location:
Nashville, Tennessee (Onsite)
Duration:
3 Months Interview type: Phone and in-person We are seeking a reliable and skilled laborer with a strong assembly/carpentry skillset for a short-term project ( 3-5 days ). The candidate will be responsible for de-installing existing metal shelving units, safely transferring shelf contents, assembling and installing new metal shelving, and restocking the units upon completion.
Key Responsibilities De-installation & Prep:
Carefully dismantle approximately 25 units of existing metal shelving and prepare the work area.
Content Relocation:
Safely move, organize, and temporarily store items from the old shelves, and accurately replace them on the newly installed shelves.
Assembly & Installation:
Assemble and erect new metal shelving units to exact specifications, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and proper alignment.
Workplace Productivity:
Work efficiently with minimal supervision, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and stay actively engaged to meet project timelines.
Requirements & Qualifications Skillset:
Hands-on experience in skilled labor, assembly, or rough carpentry.
Tools:
Must bring and proficiently use their own basic hand/power tools necessary for metal shelving assembly and teardown (e.g., impact driver, sockets, wrenches, level, tape measure).
Work Ethic:
Strong ability to follow instructions, pay attention to detail, work independently, and stay focused throughout the shift.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift, carry, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods, carrying materials up to 50 lbs.
