Pine Street Salvage Position Summary:

Pine Street Salvage is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Yard General Laborer to assist with daily operations in our scrap metal recycling yard. This role involves working around conveyor belts, heavy equipment, and other moving machinery. Employees must remain alert, follow safety procedures, and work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sort and process scrap materials on conveyor lines and in designated yard areas Work safely around moving equipment including conveyors, loaders, and trucks Keep work areas clean and free of hazards Assist equipment operators and other yard personnel as needed Follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintain focus and awareness while working near active machinery Perform other general labor duties assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving machinery Strong attention to safety and surroundings Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team Previous industrial, construction, or scrap yard experience preferred but not required

Work Environment:

Outdoor work environment in a scrap metal recycling facility Exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and changing weather conditions
