In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, and repairing aerial and underground infrastructure. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient utility system installation projects that serve communities and support vital services. We value proactive, safety-conscious individuals eager to contribute to large-scale construction initiatives and make a tangible impact through their work. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, and aerial lift trucks to perform installation, and utility excavation tasks efficiently and safely. Read and interpret construction plans, and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications for utility installations. Install underground utilities with precision. Use utility locating tools and techniques to identify existing underground utilities before excavation or trenching begins. Perform construction trenching according to safety regulations and project guidelines while adhering to federal construction safety standards Maintain safety protocols at all times by following OSHA standards and company safety regulations during all phases of construction work. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks in a construction environment. Strong knowledge of utility trenching, pipe installation techniques, and underground utility systems including sanitary sewers and water supply lines. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately; experience interpreting technical drawings is highly valued. Familiarity with utility locating methods and the use of related tools to prevent damage to existing underground utilities. Skilled in the use of hand tools for pipe fitting, concrete finishing, welding, and other on-site tasks. Experience with construction site operations involving pipeline installation or stormwater system development is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety protocol adherence and quality workmanship.
