Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, quality control inspections, and analysis of construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Your expertise will support the successful delivery of construction projects by providing accurate data and insights that drive quality assurance throughout the building process. Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests on construction materials such as concrete, masonry, and other building components to verify their properties and compliance with project standards. Conduct quality inspections on construction sites, ensuring materials and workmanship meet specified requirements. Collect, record, and analyze data related to material performance, strength tests, and other quality metrics. Assist with concrete forming processes by monitoring curing conditions and testing sample strength. Support construction inspection activities by verifying adherence to contracts, drawings, and safety protocols. Maintain detailed documentation of test results, inspection reports, and quality control records for project files. Collaborate with construction teams to troubleshoot issues related to materials or site conditions, providing timely recommendations for corrective actions. Requirements High school Diploma or Equivalent. Lifting between 45-50 pounds. Working on ladders. Proven laboratory experience working with construction materials or related fields. Strong understanding of construction processes, including site operations and material handling. Experience in quality control and quality inspection within a construction environment. Excellent data collection and analysis skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of concrete forming techniques, masonry work, and construction inspection procedures. Familiarity with contracts, specifications, and standards relevant to construction projects. Ability to work safely on construction sites while following all safety protocols and regulations. Construction site experience is highly preferred; certification in construction inspection or related areas is a plus.
