General Construction Laborer

Job Overview We are seeking General Carpenter laborers to join our growing team in the San Antonio area. You must know basic General Carpentry. Looking for Candidates who can handle floor repairs, roofing, and general cosmetic work such as a bathroom remodel. Candidate must be able to work within a crew with very little supervision and has to have excellent organization and communication skills.

In this position, you will be responsible for participating in a variety of building and construction projects. You will build temporary and permanent structures, use a wide range of tools, and may have to work outdoors in a mixture of weather conditions. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare construction site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment Complete previous projects or receive new project instructions from the general contractor or immediate supervisor Consult team leaders and manager on construction plans Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from coworkers Clean and clear debris Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly General Laborer Requirements and Qualifications High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus One year of previous experience in construction preferred (e.g. Roofing, Flooring, Tape & Float) Must have reliable transportation to the office Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds Able to work independently or as an active member of a team Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management Ability to interact and effectively communicate with clients & co-workers.
