As a Striping Construction Laborer, you will assist with the installation of pavement markings on highways, roads, and parking lots. This role involves working in a fast-paced outdoor environment, supporting both routine striping operations and traffic control setups.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the application of pavement markings, including lane lines, symbols, and roadway striping using specialized equipment. Prepare road surfaces by cleaning debris, drying surfaces, and ensuring proper conditions for paint adhesion. Support the setup and breakdown of traffic control zones in accordance with safety standards and MUTCD guidelines. Load and unload materials such as paint, thermoplastic, and reflective glass beads. Operate and maintain striping equipment, tools, and vehicles under supervision. Ensure proper placement of cones, signs, and barriers to maintain a safe work zone. Monitor striping quality, including line width, thickness, and alignment. Assist with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and daily inspections. Follow all OSHA safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations. Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and site cleanup. Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to complete projects with minimal traffic disruption.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in construction, road work, or striping is a plus but not required (training provided). Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions in a team environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation. Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus or willingness to obtain. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment:

Outdoor work in highway and roadway environments with exposure to traffic. Work performed in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and night shifts. Exposure to paint materials, equipment noise, and construction-related hazards. Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required throughout the shift. Strict adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE required at all times.
