Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Masonry Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing a variety of masonry projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from new builds to restoration projects, utilizing your expertise in concrete, bricklaying, stone masonry, and related trades. Your energy and precision will help bring architectural visions to life while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of construction sites by setting up scaffolding, building forms, and mixing mortar and concrete. Install rebar and reinforcement materials according to blueprints and technical specifications to ensure structural integrity. Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other building materials with accuracy and attention to detail. Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely while following all safety protocols. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute masonry tasks precisely. Perform finishing tasks such as concrete smoothing, plastering, caulking, tile laying, and stucco application for aesthetic appeal and durability. Support renovation and restoration projects by removing old materials, repairing existing structures, and installing new building components in compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, rebar installation, and concrete finishing. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical drawings. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and building material installation techniques. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards or equivalent safety regulations. Ability to interpret construction plans accurately for various masonry tasks including metal stud framing, roofing support structures, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and stucco applications. Experience working on diverse construction projects such as new builds or renovation efforts involving restoration or structural upgrades.
