Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Laborers, Painters, and Sandblasters to join our dynamic construction team. In this versatile role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and utilizing sandblasting techniques to ensure high-quality finishes on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will contribute to efficient project completion and outstanding results. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in construction painting, surface preparation, and maintenance while working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and craftsmanship. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting or coating by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools. Operate spray equipment including conventional sprayers and airless paint sprayers to apply finishes on diverse surfaces. Conduct sandblasting procedures to remove rust, old paint, or surface contaminants for optimal adhesion of new coatings. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately. Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, plastering, stucco application, and fixture installation. Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection, harnesses, gloves, and other personal protective equipment during all tasks. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris according to safety standards. Support surface preparation for industrial or commercial painting projects through surface cleaning and repair work like masonry or concrete finishing. Experience Prior experience in construction site environments with knowledge of construction painting surface preparation and spray painting techniques. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and scaffolding setup is highly desirable. Understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting and sandblasting operations. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or material quantities. Experience with renovation projects including drywall installation, caulking, restoration work, or remodeling is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on quality craftsmanship in residential or commercial settings.
