Job Description

Overview Candidates must be able to lift the minimum of 30 pounds on a daily continuous basis while grouting cider block walls. Will be working assembling or disassembling scaffold systems. If afraid of heights, this is not for you. Employees may be assigned to the mixer, which is a drum in which gravel, sand, cement and water are mixed to create cement or grout. Worker may be assigned to work with a stationary table masonry saw cutting cinder block to specifications. Masonry generates quite a lot of rubble, employee's must rub cider block on walls to remove excess mortar, sweep floor to remove ruble. Continuous walking and working outdoor under existing weather conditions is essential to the duties of a common labor. We have different location of work. Duties Assist with heavy lifting and material handling across various construction sites to ensure efficient workflow. Support the installation of rebar, metal stud framing, and masonry work to meet project specifications. Operate power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling structures. Prepare and maintain job sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials for upcoming work. Aid in concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and concrete pumping activities to achieve smooth surfaces and durable structures. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and assist with layout marking. Support specialized tasks such as roofing, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools confidently. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and material requirements. Skilled in concrete finishing techniques and masonry work for durable results. Familiarity with metal stud framing, drywall installation, and renovation projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout long shifts. Basic commercial driving skills for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
