December 15, 2024 Purpose of the Position Perform manual labor tasks to support construction, demolition, and cleanup activities. The Laborer ensures the efficient and safe completion of assigned duties while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Essential Position Responsibilities Perform manual labor duties, including site preparation, material handling, debris removal, and basic construction tasks as directed by supervisors. Use hand tools and light equipment (e.g., shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows) safely and efficiently. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment. Assist in setting up and breaking down work areas. Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste properly. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to site-specific safety rules and report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly. Work as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure project timelines are met. Load, unload, and transport materials or equipment to and from job sites. Ensure proper handling to avoid damage or injury. Provide assistance to other trades or specialized teams on-site as needed, ensuring smooth project execution.
Physical activities:
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier loads. Performing tasks that require bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Working in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard hat, safety glass, gloves, steel-toed footwear.

HS Diploma Preferred Skill Set:
Previous experience in construction, demolition, or general labor roles is preferred. Ability to operate basic hand tools and follow instructions accurately. Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Basic understanding of workplace safety and hazard identification.
