Job Description

GLO Resources is seeking a dependable and hardworking Skilled Laborer to support underground utility and pipe installation crews in Salt Lake City, Utah . This position pays $21 per hour and works full time Monday through Friday, with overtime and weekend work available based on the needs of the business.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate has construction experience and is comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors. Previous pipe laying experience is welcomed but not required. Candidates with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Pipe Layers with the installation of underground utility pipe, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment throughout the job site. Help align, position, and secure pipe during installation. Grade and prepare trench bottoms using hand tools as directed. Operate common construction hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing pipe for installation. Help install trench boxes, shoring, and other trench safety systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work alongside equipment operators while maintaining safe distances and clear communication. Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety procedures. Perform general construction labor duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Previous construction or skilled labor experience required. Previous pipe laying or underground utility experience is preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills. Reliable transportation to and from the job site. Ability to work overtime and weekends as project needs require.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
