Skillforce is seeking construction laborers to support a new construction project in the Culpeper, VA area. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years experience with a strong work ethic.

Pay and Schedule:

Pay:

Up to $20 per hour depending on experience

Schedule:

Minimum of 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to follow safety protocols. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction or a related labor-intensive field. Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment. Certification in OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Safety training. Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans or blueprints. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with loading, unloading, and moving construction materials and equipment on-site. Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and waste. Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by providing necessary tools and materials. Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision. Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Help with site layout and measurements as directed by supervisors. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report any malfunctions. Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety on the job site.
