This energetic position involves maintaining buildings and grounds, operating landscaping and other equipment, supporting construction projects, and ensuring the safety and functionality of public facilities and utilities, including operations of the water and wastewater treatment systems. Responsibilities Operate landscaping and other equipment and trucks to perform tasks. Assist with construction projects including repairs and upgrades. Maintain and repair public infrastructure by performing tasks on-site maintenance. Conduct safety inspections of equipment and work sites to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to complete project documentation and report progress or issues promptly. Support the setup and cleanup of sites to ensure safe working environments. Support utility locating activities to identify underground infrastructure before digging or construction begins. Monitor water well operations and maintain records of well readings (will train). Monitor wastewater treatment plants operations, perform testing procedures and log results (will train). Regularly scheduled weekend hours for community events, water and wastewater operations are required. Qualifications Prior experience operating equipment such as riding mower, etc. is preferred. Knowledge of construction practices and experience working on construction sites is essential. Ability to operate machinery and equipment confidently and safely. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to equipment operation and construction work. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is advantageous. Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Join us in building stronger communities through dedicated public service!
