Job Description
East West Staffing Inc. is seeking Civil Technicians to join its team of telecommunications talent in the deployment and maintenance of Fiber and Coax networks. The ideal candidate should have experience in pipework and excavation, the ability to operate equipment and work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities of the Civil Technician Ability to work with minimal supervision Must have experience in the construction trades with a basic understanding of construction principles and procedures May include digging, trenching, and all other aspects of cable and pipe installation. Install PVC and HDPE underground conduit Follow all on-site safety procedures. Ability to understand utility locates Ensure potholes are dug prior to crossing utilities Provide detailed and accurate reporting of duties performed Restoration of areas where work has been performed (Levelling, seed and straw) Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned. Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites. Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures Safely and efficiently operate a hydro-vac to dig trenches, foundations, and spot utilities Load and unload truck with materials, gear, tools, etc. Perform all other tasks as assigned by management.
