Construction Laborer

East West Staffing Inc. is seeking Construction Laborers to join its team of telecommunications talent in the deployment and maintenance of Fiber and Coax networks. Essential Functions Ability to work with minimal supervision Must have experience in the construction trades with a basic understanding of construction principles and procedures May include digging, trenching, and all other aspects of cable and pipe installation. Install PVC and HDPE underground conduit Follow all on-site safety procedures. Ability to understand utility locates Ensure potholes are dug prior to crossing utilities Provide detailed and accurate reporting of duties performed Restoration of areas where work has been performed (Levelling, seed and straw) Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned. Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites. Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures Safely and efficiently operate a hydro-vac to dig trenches, foundations, and spot utilities Load and unload truck with materials, gear, tools, etc. Perform all other tasks as assigned by management. Requirements of the Civil Technician 2+ years of Civil Construction experience Valid Driver's License Ability to operate heavy equipment to include; backhoes, trenchers etc. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

OSHA 10/30

Certification is preferred Conditions of Employment Maintain a valid Driver's License Ability to perform random drug and alcohol testing. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination

Pay :

$20.00/hr-25.00/hr Job sites are between Roanoke, VA and Lynchburg, VA.
