Duties Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks such as framing, carpentry, roofing, and drywall installation. Support heavy lifting and material transportation using appropriate equipment like concrete pumps or manual methods. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements. Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and performing demolition or renovation tasks as needed. Conduct heavy equipment operation when necessary, including forklifts or other machinery under supervision. Skills Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and assist with maintenance. Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and material needs. Expertise in rebar installation, concrete forming, pouring, pumping, and finishing techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety protocols on construction sites. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of various trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (metal stud framing), plastering, restoration work, and roofing.
