General Shop Laborer

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shop Laborer to join our team. This position plays a key support role in daily shop operations by assisting other team members with their tasks, completing deliveries and pickups, and handling materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will be versatile, safety-focused, and ready to take on a variety of responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient shop and field operations. Key Responsibilities Assist shop staff, fabricators, and other employees with daily tasks and projects as assigned. Perform small deliveries and pickups to jobsites, vendors, or customers as needed. Safely operate forklifts of various types (sit-down, stand-up, telehandler, etc.) to move, load, and unload materials and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard, including sweeping, organizing tools, and storing materials properly. Support shop equipment setup, material preparation, and loading/unloading for fabrication or field crews. Conduct basic inspections of tools, forklifts, and shop equipment; report issues to supervisors. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Perform other duties as assigned to support shop and field operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or construction environment is a plus. Forklift certification or willingness to become certified. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions. Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical work in a shop or outdoor environment. Work Environment Primarily shop-based with occasional local travel for deliveries/pickups. Work may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and outdoor weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required.
