Job Description

Village of Fox Point - Public Works Laborer Full-time Department of Public Works laborer that will be cross trained in the following areas:
  • Water main repairs
  • Storm sewer installation
  • Forestry services
  • Lawn and landscape management
  • Snow removal
  • Refuse, yard waste, and recycling collections and management
Includes:
  • Low-cost health insurance- very low deductible ($500 for an individual/$1,000 for a family)

Must:
  • Be reliable
  • Be capable of repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. ground to shoulder high and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Have the ability to work in confined spaces and in all weather conditions.
  • Have a minimum of one year of experience in public works or a related field
  • Be able to work overtime as needed
  • Be able to be on call for after hours and weekend emergencies 13 weeks a year
Required:
  • Experience operating trucks and other construction type equipment
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a
CLASS B CDL
with air brakes or have the ability to obtain within 6-months of employment.
