Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer and be a vital part of bringing building projects to life! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled tradespeople in executing a variety of construction tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on every project. Your hands-on work will contribute directly to the successful completion of residential, commercial, or renovation projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting the creation of durable, high-quality structures. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including moving materials and tools safely and efficiently Operate hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling components Support concrete work including pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to ensure smooth surfaces and structural integrity Install rebar and metal studs according to blueprints and schematics for reinforced concrete structures Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols at all times Support masonry, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, flooring, tile laying, roofing, and other finishing trades as needed Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers and pumps safely under supervision when required Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site Assist with restoration projects by preparing surfaces and applying finishing touches like caulking or trim carpentry Skills Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools confidently Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and blueprint specification interpretation Experience with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, pumping, and formwork construction Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and commercial driving where applicable Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately Skilled in masonry techniques including rebar installation and metal stud framing Experience in renovation work such as drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing repairs or replacement Capable of heavy lifting while maintaining proper safety standards Basic welding skills are a plus but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain comprehensive experience across multiple facets of construction.
