Job Description

Carver Construction is looking for an experienced superintendent to oversee and directs all activities at a construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards, coordinating with subcontractors, managing staff, and ensuring safety and quality control. Housing assistance and Vehicle usage negotiable. Must have a minimum of 5 years of Superintendent experience and commercial renovation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develops and implements project schedules, plans, and budgets; manages resources (labor, materials, equipment) to meet project goals. •
On-Site Management:
Directs and supervises construction activities, ensuring compliance with blueprints, specifications, and construction codes. •
Subcontractor Coordination:
Manages and coordinates the work of subcontractors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards. •
Staff Management:
Recruits, trains, and evaluates the performance of construction staff, including foremen and other construction workers. •
Quality Control:
Performs inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and materials; identifies and resolves quality issues. •
Safety Management:
Enforces and promotes safety standards and practices on the construction site; ensures compliance with safety regulations. •
Change Order Management:
Reviews and implements change orders; maintains accurate records of changes. •
Communication and Reporting:
Communicates project progress to project managers, clients, and other stakeholders; prepares regular reports on project status. •
Problem-Solving:
Identifies and resolves problems that arise during construction; develops and implements solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of construction methods, techniques, materials, and equipment.
Leadership and Management:
Ability to lead and motivate a team; strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage subcontractors and staff.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$80.00 - $90.00 per hour
