Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Lead Finisher to support field operations on modular construction projects. This role combines hands on work with leadership responsibilities, guiding a small crew while ensuring high quality finishes, productivity, and adherence to safety standards on site.
Requirements:
Job Responsibilities Direct and mentor a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers on active construction sites. Assign team members to scheduled tasks based on skillsets Explain project expectations and monitor individual performance. Perform hands on fine finishing work including drywall finishing, patching, sanding, trim, touch-ups, and punch out tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Monitor work to ensure quality standards and project requirements are met. Enforce all safety policies and procedures. Identify and rectify defects before final handover. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets company's zero-punch list quality standards. Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth workflow and scheduling. Maintain tools, materials, and a clean organized job site. Communicate progress, needs, and concerns to the Foreman or Project Manager. Train, mentor, and support crew members. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Skills & Qualifications 4-6 years of experience in high end interior finishing, and related trades. Prior on-site management or lead experience preferred. Strong knowledge of finishing techniques (taping, mudding, sanding, and touch-ups). Prior on-site management or lead experience preferred. Ability to complete projects withing budget. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Ability to use measurement tools accurately. Experience with hand and power tools (sanders, mixers, etc.). Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and job site safety practices. Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs while working in physically demanding environments. Reliable with strong work ethics and attention to detail. Ability to travel 100%.
