This role involves coordinating heavy equipment operations, managing crews, and ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications and safety standards. As a Track Foreman, you will be expected to safely and efficiently inspect, repair, and maintain the railroad track infrastructure to insure safe and efficient service to our customers. This position requires that the individual is proficient in and can supervise team members performing the following skills, duties, and requirements. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of construction crews working on track installation, repair, and maintenance projects Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and other specialty equipment to facilitate efficient construction workflows Ensure proper use and safety of heavy machinery and other construction tools Inspect, unload, load, distribute, pick-up, install cross ties, switch ties, rail, other track material and ballast. Inspect and maintain railroad track and turnouts. Maintain compliance with safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and enforce safety regulations among team members Collaborate with project managers to develop work schedules, monitor progress, and address any operational issues promptly Qualifications Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, etc. Strong background in construction site management with specific experience in track or railway construction preferred Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and enforce safety standards effectively Ability to read technical drawings, project plans, and specifications related to track construction Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance This role is perfect for motivated professionals eager to lead impactful infrastructure projects while advancing their expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction management.
