Job Description

Superintendent Job Description:
Salary position, Full Time, Exempt Superintendent is a full-time, exempt position. This individual will oversee multiple construction projects at a given time. This position is managerial role that consists of working directly with project managers, clients, subcontractors, construction workers and building officials.
Necessary Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to understand and comprehend construction project plans, to include architectural drawings, MEP drawings, specifications, and technical standards in order to drive the direction of each project and subcontractor
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills in a fast-moving role
  • to include project issues that may have an impact on budget and schedule among other issues
  • Provide supervision of the workflow on each job site to meet project and client expectations
  • Oversee subcontractors and ensure they complete full scope of work
  • Responsible for attending and participating in OAC meetings as necessary for projects
  • Responsible for attending and leading chalk walks and box walks with clients
  • Enforcement of safety precautions and a clean job site with Subcontractors as well as fellow coworkers
  • Timely completion of punch list items and verification of job completion within an acceptable timeframe.
  • Various hands-on construction work which includes chalk layout, marking walls for demolition, performing demo, installation of doors and backing, installation of bathroom accessories and hardware
  • Responsible for collaboration to create and adhere to project schedule which includes development of the schedule as well as ongoing schedule adjustments.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining 3-week schedules throughout job progress in excel and sending them to both subcontractors and clients
  • Responsible for overall safety of jobsites, completion of daily inspections, submission of the weekly site safety inspections as well as completed jobsite toolbox talks
  • Responsible for submitting RFIs as necessary for projects
  • Responsible for care and safe use of company owned equipment and tools
  • to include things such as power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, cell phones, and computers
  • Checking in and checking out tools as needed from the cage as well as returning all items in a clean and orderly manner
  • Must be highly motivated and driven
  • Detail oriented and able to demonstrate leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Cyber security conscientious
  • completing weekly emailed cyber trainings
  • Safe driving practices are used at all times while in a company vehicle and or when driving a personal vehicle for work purposes
  • Responsible for providing proof of current personal vehicle insurance and policy limits as required by company insurance carrier
  • Vehicle maintenance and cleanliness is completed and reported, if the employee is issued a company vehicle
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Team oriented mentality
  • Computer knowledge in
