  • Bookstore Purpose Statement The job of Bookstore Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of managing the processes relating to student textbooks; selling and/or distributing student materials (e.
g. lockers, yearbooks, identification cards, accurate and timely deposits, etc.); and monitoring expenditures for student activities and fees. Essential Functions Assists and provides direction to club sponsors (e.g. deposits, expenditures and club balances) for the purpose of maintaining club procedures are done correctly. Directs staff and student workers for the purpose of guiding and monitoring their activities. Distributes textbooks to classes and/or students for the purpose of providing students with required instructional materials. Maintains inventory of textbooks, related instructional materials and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials. Manages bookstore operations (e.g. Receiving, issuing, collecting and performing inventories, etc.) For the purpose of ensuring availability of textbooks and controlling related expenses. Prepares a variety of reports and documents (e.g. Daily deposits; collection letters, requisitions and purchase orders, etc.) For the purpose of conveying information and/or providing audit trail. Process textbook orders (e.g. reviews requisition, course listing, order specifications, etc.) for the purpose of providing required textbooks and supplemental instructional materials for scheduled courses. Responsible for accurately and timely processing a variety of financial transactions (e.g. cash receipts, bank deposits, check payments, invoices, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring payment for purchased and/or rented items in conformance with district and state financial requirements. Responsible for accurately collecting and recording student fees for the purpose of completing transactions, and/or preparing bank deposits. Responsible for ensuring clubs maintain accurate and detailed deposit records for the purpose of ensuring audit records. Other Functions Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. Job Requirements Mental Requirements Learning Development
