Soft/Hardscape Construction Superintendent Safari Pools and Landscaping Gilbert, AZ Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $105,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Spanish Coordinating with subcontractors on construction projects English Construction industry experience Construction team management Construction experience Full Job Description Safari Pools and Landscaping is hiring a hands-on Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across our landscape, irrigation, low-voltage lighting, and hardscape installations. This person will be the driving force on-site — coordinating crews, keeping projects on schedule and on budget, upholding safety and quality standards, and acting as the connective tissue between our field teams, project managers, and outside stakeholders like architects and inspectors. What You'll Be Doing Supervise and direct on-site construction crews, making sure work follows approved plans, timelines, and safety procedures Serve as the primary point of contact in the field for Landscape Architects, General Contractors, Inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors Read and interpret submittals, drawings, specs, and other project documents to fully understand scope before work begins Partner with the Estimating and Project Management teams to build out realistic project schedules Keep projects tracking against schedule, budget, and contract requirements from start to finish Apply solid working knowledge of commercial landscape excavation, irrigation systems, and planting practices Help coordinate orders for irrigation materials, plant material, inert materials, and equipment to match plan specs Run quality control checks throughout each project phase to confirm work meets spec and industry standards Handle equipment transport needed for day-to-day construction activities Coordinate Arizona 811 Blue Stake locate requests and confirm utilities are marked before any digging starts Provide daily status updates to the Project Manager on all active jobs Enforce field safety compliance — PPE use, safe equipment/vehicle operation, and proper transport procedures Understand the operation and upkeep of equipment commonly used in landscape construction What You Bring At least 2 years of experience in landscape and hardscape construction, ideally on medium-to-large-scale projects Bilingual in English and Spanish — required for this role A track record of successfully leading and managing crews on active construction sites Solid hands-on experience across multiple phases of a construction project, from groundbreaking to closeout Comfort reading blueprints and schematics, plus working knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and scheduling Working familiarity with OSHA safety regulations as they apply to construction sites Proven ability to juggle multiple stakeholders, hold the line on quality, and hit deadlines Experience overseeing subcontractors and vendors is a strong plus Strong communication skills, both written and verbal This is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced field environment and wants to take ownership of complex projects from the ground up, using modern tools and processes in a company built around quality craftsmanship.
