Job Description
Job Title:
Dirt Superintendent We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dirt Superintendent to oversee and coordinate grading operations on construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that grading work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team and contribute to the successful completion of large-scale infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all grading activities on construction sites to ensure timely and quality completion
- Develop and implement grading plans in collaboration with project engineers and managers
- Monitor work progress, inspect grading work, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Manage grading crews, assign tasks, and provide guidance and training as needed
- Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications related to grading
- Coordinate with other construction disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours
- Identify and resolve issues related to grading operations promptly and effectively
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grading Superintendent or similar role in construction or civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of grading techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license and relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA safety certification) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus
