We're a licensed and fully insured California general contractor (CSLB #1118841) with an A rating from the BBB, specializing in custom homes, ADUs, kitchen and bath remodels, and ground-up new construction. Since the January 2025 Eaton and Palisades fires, we've become one of the most active rebuild partners in the region, with 16 homes currently under construction across Altadena, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu. We work in close partnership with leading architects, designers, and rebuild collectives to deliver construction that lives up to the design vision — handling everything from design coordination and permitting through to move-in. Our work is built on craftsmanship, transparent communication, and a genuine partnership with every client. If that's the kind of team you want to build with, read on. Job Overview We're seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee our custom home and remodel projects from inception to completion. In this role, you'll coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Working primarily from our Agoura Hills office with regular visits to active job sites, you'll serve as the central point of contact between construction managers, clients, architects, designers, and municipalities. Your expertise in construction management, budgeting, and scheduling will drive successful outcomes on high-end residential projects across Los Angeles. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful, high-quality builds — including the homes we're rebuilding for families across Altadena and the Palisades. Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple custom home and remodel projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets. Own the project budget end to end — capacity, forecasting, revisions, and ongoing alignment with the schedule. Develop preconstruction estimates and project schedules, tracking progress and milestones throughout the build. Coordinate with architects, designers, subcontractors, clients, and municipalities to facilitate smooth communication and project execution. Review plans, contracts, and design documents to ensure clarity and compliance with design intent and regulatory standards. Manage and negotiate subcontracts and scopes of work. Proactively identify and procure materials, including take-offs and pricing. Work closely with the construction manager to organize production activities and keep budget and schedule in sync. Prepare or direct the preparation of invoices and change orders, and maintain accurate project documentation including owner's manuals. Monitor progress through regular site visits and reporting; evaluate construction methods and recommend improvements to time or cost. Qualifications Degree in construction management, building technology, or a related field. 3+ years of construction project management experience, with demonstrated success leading projects from start to finish. Hands-on knowledge of building materials, methods, and working on active job sites. Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and construction drawings, and to translate design intent into execution. Proficiency with construction estimating/takeoff software and Buildertrend (or comparable project management software). Solid understanding of construction estimating, budgeting, and cost management. Familiarity with subcontracts, change orders, and the contract side of residential construction. Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize across multiple projects and a sharp eye for detail. Strong personal integrity — open, honest, dependable — and a proactive, self-starting approach to ownership. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites. A positive attitude and strong work ethic matter to us. If you're motivated to grow your craft building custom homes — and to do work that helps families come home — we'd love to hear from you.
