Construction Project Coordinator Location:
Bakersfield, CA (Onsite)Salary:
$60,000 – $80,000 DOE A respected commercial construction company serving Kern County and the surrounding Central Valley is expanding its project team and adding a Project Coordinator. With a strong portfolio of tenant improvements, commercial builds, and industrial projects, the company has earned a reputation for delivering quality work through careful planning and strong client relationships. This role plays an important part in keeping projects organized, documentation accurate, and communication flowing between the office and the field. The Opportunity This position supports multiple active construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The Project Coordinator will partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project information is accurate, deadlines are tracked, and project activities remain on schedule. What You'll Do- Coordinate project documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, and project files
- Support Project Managers by tracking schedules, deadlines, procurement activities, and project milestones
- Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, and status updates for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records within project management systems while ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Partner with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to facilitate communication and resolve project-related issues What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in construction project coordination, project administration, or a related support role
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with construction management software preferred
- Construction industry experience with an understanding of project documentation, subcontractor coordination, and scheduling processes Why This Role Stands Out
