Step 1 Length of Work Year 190 Employment Type Part Time, Management Job Summary Job Summary SUMMARY The Expanded Learning Site Coordinator assists the Expanded Learning Director with the daily operations of the District's Expanded Learning Programs, including After School Education and Safety (ASES) and other extended learning initiatives. The Expanded Learning Program emphasizes academic support, enrichment opportunities, student engagement, and safe, structured supervision beyond the regular instructional day. Programs are designed to support student achievement, social-emotional development, and physical activity in alignment with district goals. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Director, the Site Coordinator assists with planning, organization, supervision, and evaluation of site-based expanded learning operations, including training and supervising assigned program staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following:
  • Execution of the ASES current Program Plan at your site.
  • Assist with administration of the Expanded Learning Program in conformance with federal, state, and local regulations and District policy.
  • Assist with planning and implementing daily expanded learning programming including academic support, enrichment activities, and physical activity.
  • Ensure compliance with ASES requirements including attendance documentation and staffing ratios.
  • Maintain safe, orderly, and structured environments consistent with District supervision standards.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate student attendance and participation records.
  • Supervise and support expanded learning staff including School Activity Assistants and enrichment providers.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new program personnel.
  • Participate in safety meetings and required professional development.
  • Coordinate program supplies and materials inventory.
  • Assist with preparation of required reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS
High School Diploma or GED equivalency; AA or BA Degree Preferred. A.A. or A.S. Degree (or higher) or 48 semester units at an institution of higher education or pass CODESP - District Written Exam (Parts A, B and C) to meet the requirements of No Child Left Behind Act. If you hold the degree or have a transcript with 48 or more units of college level coursework, you are required to only pass CODESP-District Written Exam (Part C); AND two (2) years of experience working with school-age children. Experience coordinating programs or supervising staff is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid California Driver's License may be required depending on assignment. Valid CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within designated timeframe. Cover Letter Resume Three letters of recommendation
