Overview:
Site Supervisor - ELOP
The Site Supervisor ELOP is responsible for the overall site leadership, management, and supervision of staff, students, and program activities. The Site Supervisor will provide coaching and support for the staff members and will collaborate with school personnel and families to maximize program capacity, ensure a safe and supportive environment, and offer program activities that promote student skill building, healthy choices and behaviors, diversity and equity, and academic achievement. Friday Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall on-site management, staff and student supervision, site compliance, program planning, and implementing high quality program activities in accordance with the goals and policies, school district, collaborative partners, and the YMCA of San Diego County.
Supervise program staff and participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times.
Responsible for student recruitment and program marketing to ensure program capacity.
Provide positive behavior guidance that supports the developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs of all students.
Actively collaborate with families, school personnel, and district partners to align high quality academic activities, coordinate student services, and ensure positive relationships with all program stakeholders.
Effectively manage all administrative duties for site including site budget, monthly paperwork, attendance management, program planning, staff development, and other contractual and compliance duties.
Manage daily program operations including daily set up, program management, and daily closure of expanded learning program.
Perform daily duties that ensure space is properly maintained, organized, clean, and safe
Leadership and management skills
Strong communication skills
Strong desire to mentor youth, strengthen families, and serve the community
Other duties as assigned needs to be included to all roles
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older, and a high school graduate
Minimum of 1-4 years working in a child and youth development, education, or comparable setting: 1 year with a BA/BS Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education 1 year with a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit 2 years with an AA Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education4 years, otherwise
Must meet minimum qualifications for a highly qualified Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide in the district in which the assigned school operates; AA/AS degree, 48 college units or passing score on districts Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam acceptable.
One or more of the following:
Completion, with passing grades, of 15 units in Child Development (CD) or related field including: 3 units in CD/ECE or related field, 3 units in child growth and development, 3 units in child, family and community, 3 units in program/curriculum, and 3 units in Administration of Child Care Programs. AA or BA in Child Development is highly desirable. (Related fields can include: Arts, Early Childhood Education, Education, Humanities, Physical Education, Psychology, Recreation, Sociology, and Theater)Completion, with passing grades, of the 12 units with 3 more units of current enrollment in
Administration of Child Care Programs will be considered
Physical ability to lead activities such as sports, games and curriculum activities and monitor behavior.
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act in an emergency.
Fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI required prior to working.
TB test clearance within 60 days prior to employment or prior to working on a school site.
Completion of Child Abuse Prevention training prior to working with program participants.
CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
