About the Role Beach City Builders Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Escondido, CA. This position directly assists Project Managers in managing daily on-site field operations. The ideal candidate brings deep trade knowledge, strong field leadership, and computer proficiency to manage daily jobsite records and communicate seamlessly with Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities Subcontractor Management:
Direct, coordinate, and oversee daily trade subcontractor work to ensure safety, quality, and project schedule adherence.
Daily Documentation & Photo Logs:
Maintain accurate daily logs using project software—capturing detailed site notes, weather conditions, work progress, headcount, and clear jobsite photos.
Computer & Tech Operations:
Utilize mobile apps, project management software, email, and digital tools on-site for real-time reporting and administrative tasks.
PM Alignment & Schedule Tracking:
Provide regular, proactive updates to Project Managers regarding site conditions, overall progress, material deliveries, and ongoing manpower scheduling updates.
General Contractor Knowledge:
Leverage solid hands-on knowledge across all core trades (framing, MEPs, finishes, concrete, etc.) to enforce quality control and resolve field issues quickly.
Site Safety & Quality Control:
Enforce strict compliance with OSHA standards, local building codes, and job safety plans.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
10+ years in construction with a strong background in both journeyman-level trade work and field supervision.
Computer Proficiency:
Computer literate and proficient with modern tech tools (tablets, smartphones, construction field management and project documentation software, email, and photo management).
Certifications:
OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Driving Record:
Clean DMV record required.
Communication:
Good written and verbal communication skills to keep PMs fully updated and subs accountable.
Reliability:
Punctual, detail-oriented, and ready for immediate deployment.
