Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. Duties Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to schedule, quality standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize workflow and resource allocation. Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to verify accuracy and clarity before work begins. Develop, update, and communicate detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to keep projects on track. Monitor project budgets, track costs, and manage contracts to ensure financial targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Enforce OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and federal construction safety standards to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, safety compliance, and progress assessments; address issues promptly. Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately; supervise crews in executing construction plans effectively. Lead team meetings to coordinate schedules, review progress, resolve conflicts, and motivate staff toward project goals. Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, change orders, safety incidents, and daily logs using ProCore or Prolog software. Skills Extensive experience with heavy civil or commercial construction projects; familiarity with pipeline projects is a plus. Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera P3e/c or similar tools. Strong knowledge of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols. Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Skilled in project scheduling, budget management, and contract administration with tools like HeavyBid or equivalent software. Excellent supervisory skills with experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced construction environments. Effective communication skills for managing crews, coordinating with clients or stakeholders, and managing subcontractors. Ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in quality control procedures. Familiarity with construction safety management practices; able to enforce safety policies rigorously on-site. Competence in using Ohmmeter for electrical testing when required; understanding of construction site safety protocols related to electrical systems.
