Director of Construction & Facilities Hospitality /
Restaurant Development Location:
Irvine Harper Harrison has partnered with a rapidly growing hospitality and restaurant group to appoint a Director of Development & Facilities to support the continued expansion and operational evolution of a multi-unit portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for overseeing new restaurant development, construction delivery, remodel initiatives, facilities strategy, and long-term capital planning across the business. The organization is looking for an experienced operator capable of bringing greater structure, scalability, and operational rigor to an evolving development and facilities function. What's on offer:

Key Responsibilities:
Development & Construction
  • Lead ground-up restaurant development projects from turnover through opening
  • Manage architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee permitting, bidding, construction administration, budgets, and schedules
  • Establish and maintain construction standards and prototype consistency across locations
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, culinary, IT, and executive leadership teams Facilities & Capital Projects
  • Lead company-wide repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance initiatives
  • Develop and execute remodel and refresh programs across existing locations
  • Identify opportunities to improve guest experience, operational efficiency, and brand presentation
  • Manage vendor relationships and field coordination across multiple sites Systems & Process Improvement
  • Introduce scalable systems, reporting structures, and operational processes across the department
  • Support capital planning, forecasting, project reporting, lifecycle management, and scheduling initiatives
  • Build repeatable frameworks to support continued organizational growth and operational consistency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience within restaurant construction, development, facilities, or multi-site project leadership
  • Strong experience supporting multi-unit restaurant or hospitality environments
  • Proven background delivering ground-up builds and large-scale remodel initiatives
  • Experience overseeing facilities programs across multiple locations
  • Strong commercial, operational, and leadership capability
  • Comfortable operating cross-functionally with executives, operations teams, and external vendors
  • Process-driven leader capable of building scalable systems and improving operational visibility
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong mentoring and team development capabilities
