Superintendent Overaa Superintendents are energetic, dedicated, and experienced leaders. They inspire and motivate crews and subcontractors to work safely and productively. As key company representatives, they communicate well and establish positive relationships with project owners and their representatives as well as architects, inspectors, and trade partners. The Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of field operations, including labor productivity, construction means and methods, and quality control. Additionally, the Superintendent emphasizes jobsite safety and identifies and resolves hazards promptly. The Superintendent is experienced with scheduling, including subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and self-performing craft labor. From mobilization through completion, Overaa Superintendents know how to deliver projects on time and on budget. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise all project construction field activities. Direct and motivate field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship. Create and maintain a weekly construction schedule and co-create the project's master schedule. Proactively and collaboratively work to solve problems. Maintain excellent relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, coworkers and project stakeholders. Manage self-perform activities and track productivity milestones. Order materials, equipment, and schedule inspections. Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards. Ensure all company employees, contractors and site personnel adhere to company safety policy. Complete all Overaa company safety training as required. Create a jobsite logistics plan and maintain an organized, clean, safe job site environment. Attributes Passion for construction. Driven to succeed with a sense of urgency. As a key company representative, Superintendent conducts all business activities according to company values including loyalty, humility and a can-do attitude. Overall Responsibilities and Authority Reports to the General Superintendent for personnel and production matters. Reports to the Project Manager for project business including project strategy, contractual issues, scheduling and execution of the work. Responsible for enforcing jobsite safety program. Responsible for determining the most efficient and productive methods for sequencing work and meeting production goals and schedule milestones. Responsible for directing, supervising, coaching and mentoring project foremen and field crews. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred but not required. 5 years of relevant project experience in scheduling, ordering materials, field supervision, quality control, safety and production of all phases of construction. Organized with a systematic approach to achieve accuracy and efficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities. Communicate effectively with coworkers and project stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word is required. Knowledge of Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Primavera, Navisworks, Microsoft Project, and Viewpoint project manager software is a plus. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Knowledgeable in Storm Water Pollution Prevention, LEED, and material reuse is a plus.
